Pulse Toronto was born from a simple observation: Toronto's incredible outdoor spaces were underutilized, and too many people felt intimidated by traditional fitness environments. In 2021, our founder Maya Chen, a former competitive cyclist and certified fitness trainer, decided to bridge this gap.
Starting with just five participants in a small waterfront cycling group, Maya envisioned a community where fitness wasn't about competition or intimidation, but about connection, exploration, and personal growth. The response was overwhelming – within months, word-of-mouth referrals grew our small group into a thriving community.
What began as weekend cycling tours quickly expanded to include comprehensive fitness programs, team-building challenges, and corporate wellness initiatives. Today, Pulse Toronto serves over 500 active members, but our core mission remains unchanged: making fitness accessible, enjoyable, and transformative for every participant.
